Between 2006 and 2011, the Alliance for Advancing Nonprofit Health Care and the health care journal INQUIRY co-sponsored a series of 12 “dialogues” involving a variety of voices on important aspects of nonprofit health care. The topics included governance, community benefits, profits, tax exemptions, executive and board compensation, market concentration, advertising, and health care value. Each dialogue involved four or five panelists in a 90-120 minute discussion, with the proceedings published as an article in INQUIRY. The questions and responses are equally relevant today and are issues facing all nonprofits. For the first time, these 12 dialogues are available together in one anthology for the price of $10.
